Vino Louden: A Journey Through the Blues

From Hayti to Chicago and Beyond, Carrying the Soul of the Blues Across the World

Vino Louden, a native of Hayti, Missouri, embarked on a lifelong journey with the Blues after moving to Chicago in the late 1950s. Influenced by his mother’s love for music and the vibrant South Side scene, Vino’s passion for the Blues blossomed early, shaped by icons like Howlin’ Wolf and Jimmy Reed Jr.

From humble beginnings playing with local bands to mastering his craft under the mentorship of Blues legends like Otis Clay, Vino’s career soared. His professionalism and talent earned him an 18-year partnership with Queen of the Blues, Koko Taylor, as her bandleader and musical director. Together, they toured the globe, performing for celebrities, political figures, and esteemed institutions.

Despite facing life-threatening injuries in a 2008 accident, Vino’s resilience brought him back to the stage. Today, he leads The Vino Louden Band, delivering electrifying performances across Chicago and internationally, from Salvatierra, Mexico, to Japan. Always evolving, Vino is currently crafting a new acoustic/electric album, continuing to share his Blues legacy with the world.
